Saving Grace Animal Society

Alix & Stettler, Alberta

Saving Grace Animal Society started in Alix in 2018 and has grown into one of the most active animal rescues in Alberta. They run a shelter in Alix, a sanctuary in Stettler for farm animals with nowhere to go, and a network of foster homes across central Alberta. They've adopted out more than 9,000 animals, take 24/7 emergency calls, drive out to rural communities, and handle the cases nobody else will. Range Road Solar is proud to have them as a community partner.

About the Program

How Solar Funds Alberta's Rescue Community

Range Road Solar partners with animal shelters and rescues across Alberta. For every solar install we complete that comes from a shelter referral, $1,000 goes directly to that shelter. For any of our solar clients who adopt a pet from one of our partner shelters, we knock $500 off their install. No middlemen, no admin work for the shelter, no paperwork on either end beyond a referral code.

Range Road Solar is a rural Alberta business. Our clients are farms, acreages, and small-town homes. These are the kinds of properties where rescued animals end up living their best lives. We've watched shelters across this province operate on shoestring budgets while doing some of the most important work in our communities. Solar installs are an investment that pays clients back for 25 years. Shifting a small slice of that into Alberta's rescue community feels right. It's our way of contributing to something we believe in.

A typical solar install through one of our partner shelters generates $1,000 in unrestricted funding. That money lands directly with the shelter and can go toward whatever they need most: vet bills, food, kennel repairs, transport vans, cold-weather supplies. There's no grant-writing, no quarterly reporting, no strings attached. For shelters operating hand-to-mouth, predictable contributions like this can be the difference between turning an animal away and taking them in. On the client side, the $500 adoption discount creates a path for new pet owners to reduce their power bills while welcoming an animal into their home. Both sides win.

Install timeline

Range Road Solar is a rural Alberta solar company specializing in farms, acreages, shop installs, and rural homes. We are not a national chain. We are an Alberta company built around long install warranties, transparent pricing, and a two to six week install timeline that most competitors can't match. Our partner program with Saving Grace Animal Society launched in early 2026 and is the first of what we expect will be many partnerships across the province.

The goal is a network of shelter and rescue partners across every region of Alberta. Every install we do should be quietly funding the rescue community somewhere in the province. Long term, we want this program to contribute meaningfully to Alberta's animal welfare ecosystem, helping shelters build reserves, expand capacity, and operate with less financial stress. If you run a shelter or rescue and want to be part of this, reach out. We provide everything you need: social posts, newsletter copy, print materials, and a custom referral code. We'd love to come visit you in person. There's no cost, no commitment, and no work on your end beyond saying yes.

A Solar Company That Gives Back

Range Road Solar is a rural Alberta installer. We do solar for working farms, acreages, and country homes from the foothills to Saskatchewan. We picked Saving Grace Animal Society as our first partner because we love what they stand for. Animals deserve people who show up, and Saving Grace Animal Society shows up.

If you've been thinking about solar anyway, this is one way to make the numbers work even harder for somebody else.
