Solar for Good

Helping Alberta communities and the animals that need us most.

Animal Shelters

We're Proud to Support Alberta's Animal Shelters

Range Road Solar is committed to giving back to the communities we serve. We partner with local animal shelters and rescue organizations across rural Alberta, because we believe every animal deserves a safe home, and every shelter deserves support. When members of your community go solar through your referral, your organization benefits directly. It's a simple way to raise meaningful funds without asking for donations.

How It Works

How a Community Partnership Works

We keep the process simple because volunteers are busy and paperwork is nobody's hobby. Here is what to expect from the first email to the day the panels go up.

01

Reach Out

Send us an email at partners@rangeroadsolar.com and tell us about your organization: what you do, where you are, and what a typical power bill looks like. A few honest paragraphs is plenty.

02

A Conversation and a Site Visit

We sit down with your board or volunteers, then we look at the property itself. A hall roof, a barn, a kennel: every building is different, and we want to see yours before we promise anything.

03

A Plan That Fits

Depending on the building and the community, that can mean a reduced-cost installation for the organization itself, or a referral partnership where the organization benefits each time a community member goes solar through the program. Sometimes it is both.

The program sustains itself the same way any good partnership does: by being useful to both sides. Community members get a local company they already trust, and the organization benefits directly from every project that comes through the partnership. Nobody is asked to buy anything, and nobody is handed a sales pitch. If solar does not make sense for your building, we will tell you that too.

Community Organizations

Beyond Shelters

We also work with food banks, sports clubs, churches, Legion branches, 4-H clubs, and other community organizations across rural Alberta. If your organization has a presence in the community, we want to work with you.

Every partnership is a little different, because every organization is different. A hockey club needs something other than what a church hall needs, and a rescue society needs something other than what either of those need. We start by listening, then we shape the partnership around the building, the budget, and the people involved. If your group is not listed here, that does not rule you out. Some of our best partnerships have come from organizations we never expected to hear from.

Food Banks

Keeping rural Alberta families fed

Food banks run on tight margins, and every dollar of overhead is a dollar not spent on food. Lower power bills mean more of the budget goes straight to the shelves.

Sports Clubs

Minor hockey, baseball, and rodeo clubs

Rinks, diamonds, and rodeo grounds use serious power for ice, lighting, and concessions. A partnership gives the club a steady way to fund the season without running another raffle.

Churches & Halls

The gathering places of small towns

Most halls and churches have big, flat, sunny roofs and tight volunteer-run budgets. Solar suits that combination well: the roof does the work so the volunteers don't have to.

Legion Branches

Supporting those who served

Legions keep their doors open for veterans and their families, usually on a fixed budget and volunteer hours. A lower power bill keeps more money going to programs and poppies.

4-H Clubs

Building the next generation of rural leaders

4-H families are often farm families with shops, barns, and yards that use real power. A partnership fits naturally into that world and helps fund the projects kids care about.

Rescue Organizations

Giving every animal a second chance

Kennels and foster barns run heat, laundry, and lights around the clock. Power is one of the biggest bills a rescue carries, and it never takes a day off.
