That is precisely the situation where a larger array pays off, and rural properties almost always have the room to put one wherever it produces best.
Out here we get a choice a city roof rarely allows. A big, clean, unshaded shop or barn roof can carry a substantial array beautifully. Where there is no ideal roof, a ground mount on driven piles or concrete piers set below the frost line lets us aim the entire array due south at the optimal tilt, completely independent of any building; that steeper tilt sheds snow faster on the darkest days of the year. A ground mount adds some racking and trenching cost, but it buys ideal orientation and leaves room to grow the array later.
